a family.jpg

Two friends, Booker T. Washington and W.E.B. DuBois, share differing views on the path to equality and freedom for African Americans in the early 20th century. Set against the backdrop of the Civil Rights Movement, Booker T. advocates for economic empowerment and self-sufficiency through education and hard work, while W.E.B., a radical, believes that true change can only come through political activism and challenging systemic oppression. Their differing views reflect fundamentally different visions for the future of their people.

“It Seems To Me” explores the complexities of the Civil Rights Movement and the many ways in which African Americans were working to achieve freedom and equality in the face of entrenched racism and oppression. It is a powerful exploration of the complexities of friendship, politics, and the human quest for equality and justice.
